The Manager, Web and Content focuses on ensuring development of best in class content and deployment across the Visit The USA digital ecosystem, including owned and paid channels. Working with the Director/Digital Development and in support of both consumer and partner campaigns, this role identifies needs for video, photography, illustration, graphics, influencer programs and short and long-form articles in support of our identified priorities, and work with Brand USA’s network of agencies to ensure executional excellence. A keen eye for design, basic understanding of website functionality and top notch project management skills is critical to the success of this position. The Coordinator, Web and Content reports into this role.
This role helps develop highly engaging content that inspires travel to the USA. Incorporating a timely planning process to ensure all initiatives are consistent with consumer and corporate strategies is key. Development of an editorial calendar and management of outside agencies, destination partners and the trade to create, curate and integrate high-performance content into Brand USA’s websites and other owned platforms is the core function of this role. Taking direction from the Director/Digital Development, and managing the workload and output of the Coordinator, Web & Content, this roles primary activities will include:
Manage agency and vendor partners, and manage cross-functional projects as needed in support of consumer marketing agenda
Own and update the editorial content calendar in partnership with the media and advertising team.
Create and curate engaging digital content on the consumer site using internal and external sources.
Develop and manage influencer programs to create USA advocates, and support co-op initiatives using the Brand USA network of influencer agencies to deliver agreed upon goals.
Use analytics and insight reports to inform content development priorities and optimize future initiatives

Support Digital Director and digital agencies to maintain web environments
Manage multiple country sites to ensure operational excellence and optimize user experience
Develop plan to improve visitor experience
Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals, as requested
Write clear and actionable strategic briefs, using existing research and best practices
Translate functional and technical requirements into specific task assignments
Prioritize multiple competing projects and manage a high volume of international content in a fast-paced environment, and set/manage expectations of team members, clients and stakeholders
Manage translation needs, as required, within our existing transcreation process.
The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and focus on delivering the end result in line with Brand USA business goals.
At least three (3) years in a creative agency or in-house consumer marketing environment, managing a variety of content creation initiatives, including video, imagery, articles and influencers
Strategic outlook and best in class project management skills
Experience managing creative agencies and processes
Experience working with outside partners in developing and deploying a content strategy
Experience developing website visitor acquisition strategies, personalization/customization of content and messaging to ensure an amazing digital user experience
Experience with Content Management Systems (Drupal preferred)
Experience using third party APIs
Understanding of and ability to apply SEO principles – general and keyword
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and social media platforms
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to interact well both with internal and external partners and project team
Flexibility, sense of humor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Interest in travel and tourism.
Ability to quickly learn new applications as needed
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism Science or equivalent work experience
Fast paced, professional office environment with moderate noise levels
Must be able to use a computer at a work station for long periods of time and to accommodate potentially frequent interruptions
Limited travel may be required
Brand USA’s business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Our standard work hours may vary based upon position requirements. Additional hours may be required during peak times, which may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
