Plans, organizes and directs the activities and functions of the Convention and Visitors Bureau. Directs and leads Bureau toward its mission. Works directly with Board in policy making and strategy for organizational success. Acts as primary spokesperson for organization. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field; supplemented by a minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in the hospitality/tourism administration and marketing field, to include development and administration of complex programs and budgets, four (4) years of which shall be acquired in management/supervisory capacity, preferably for a local government or public-private organization; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Knowledge of the local tourism and amateur sports market is highly desirable.
Must be computer literate.
Requires own transportation and a valid driver license.
